Human Serum & Plasma

Human plasma and off-the-clot serum are used in cell culture and as a base matrix for calibrators, controls and standards in IVD applications.

SEQENS IVD offers human serum and plasma either in units or pooled. Donors can be selected on gender or blood group (AB male available).

ETHICS
Each human plasma or serum offered by SEQENS IVD complies with the company’s ethics commitment.

Donor consent
Donations proceed from volunteer donors, who agreed their donation may be used in any way the collection centre deems appropriate.

Gratuitousness
Blood donations have not been paid in any form and proceed from qualified human volunteers in donation facilities selected according to EU or FDA Regulations.

Anonymity
Each donation is anonymous and is associated with a donation number (complete donor traceability available).

VIRAL TESTING
SEQENS IVD human plasma and sera have all been tested and found negative for:
      - anti-HIV 1+2 & anti-HCV antibodies
      - HBs antigen
      - HIV 1 & HCV RNA
      - Syphilitic serology

Human serum

SEQENS IVD Human Serum is collected in France from healthy anonymous donors and is tested for viral markers. Serum can be supplied as single donor units or pooled. If pooled, units are 0.2 µm filtered prior to being bottled. Selection can be made on gender or blood group in any case.

REFERENCES & DOWNLOADS

*SEQENS IVD also manufactures BaseSerum, which is obtained from plasma. It is a valuable and cost-effective substitute to off-the-clot serum.

Human plasma

SEQENS IVD Human Plasma is collected in France or Poland from healthy anonymous donors and is tested for viral markers. Citrate Phosphate Dextrose has been used to prevent clotting. Plasma can be supplied as single donor units or pooled. If pooled, units are 0.2 µm filtered prior to being bottled. Selection can be made on gender or blood group.
