Human Serum Albumin

Human Serum Albumin (HSA) is the most abundant protein in human plasma. It is produced in the liver and has a molecular mass of 66.5 kDa.
Due to unique binding properties, HSA can be used in cell culture as carrier protein or in immunoassays as blocking reagent.
SEQENS IVD manufactures highly purified Human Serum Albumin (HSA) obtained by a proprietary Heat-Shock method and especially developed for IVD applications. It has low content in Vitamin D and folate.

Blood donations have not been paid in any form and proceed from qualified human volunteers in donation facilities selected according to EU or FDA Regulations.

Each donation is anonymous and is associated with a donation number (complete donor traceability available).
VIRAL TESTING
Raw material has been tested and found negative for:
- anti-HIV 1+2 & anti-HCV antibodies
- HBs antigen
- HIV 1 & HCV RNA
- Syphilitic serology
