Bovine Fibrinogen is a blood protein of 340 kDa. Involved in clotting, Bovine Fibrinogen is converted to fibrin by thrombin.
H2B Bovine Fibrinogen is purified using Cohn fractionation and especially developed for producing RPF supplement. Bovine plasma used for the manufacture of H2B Bovine Fibrinogen is collected from French healthy cattle delcared free from BSE disease in its clinical forms. It is sourced in EU-approved French slaughterhouses.
RPF supplement (Rabbit Plasma Fibrinogen), in addition to Baird Parker agar, is used for the detection and enumeration of coagulase-positive staphylococci in the food industry (ISO 6888-2) and in water testing controls (NF T90-412). H2B also offers other RPF components separately such as Rabbit Plasma and Soybean Trypsin Inhibitor.

H2B Bovine Fibrinogen is available in powder and in liquid form. The ready-to-use, 5% frozen solution enables to save time and cost of solubilisation and filtration. It is 0.2 µm filtered. Bovine Fibrinogen solution can also be supplied with the addition of Soybean Trypsin Inhibitor.
Bovine Fibrinogen has been developed for the production of RPF supplement. It reinforces the action of Rabbit Plasma.

Rabbit Plasma is obtained by centrifugation of whole blood, with addition of EDTA. It is 0.2 µm filtered. Blood used for the manufacture of this product is aseptically collected from French healthy rabbits.
Rabbit Plasma has been developed for the production of RPF supplement. It shows excellent specificity towards staphylococcal coagulase.
Soybean Trypsin Inhibitor is produced from organic and non-OGM soybean.
Inhibitor's activity: 1 mg dry extract inhibits at minimum 1.3 mg of trypsin which has 10,000 BAEE units/mg of proteins.
Soybean Trypsin Inhibitor has been particularly developed for the production of RPF supplement. It is needed to prevent fibrinolysis.
